I love Strawberry Season! These strawberries overflow the silver Strawberry Boat (formerly a Gravy Boat) onto a reflective surface so you twice the strawberry beauty.

This is my model, NOT my painting
I can't resist painting strawberries this time of year. The problem is they look so innocent but are really a devil to paint! I like to put in all the detail so painting all the dents, the bumps and the seeds, each with it's own shadow and highlight can really be a lot more work than I first image.
I hope to finish and post my newest painting in a few days
Strawberry Delight is oil on masonite, 11" x 14". It shows strawberries in a cut glass dish, on a piece of battenburg lace.
For such a small painting, it was really a challenge. This is my first painting of cut glass. I like painting glass and I really had to keep focused to get all the geometric shapes just right.
This painting has been shown at the Oil Painters of America and the International Guild of Realism exhibits. It is slated to go to the National Society of Artists show later this month unless I sell it first.
It is available at my studio, K. Henderson Art
Seems like I’ve been working on this painting forever. And I’m still not finished! This painting is titled ‘Ride ‘em Cowboys’. It’s 18″ x 24″, oil on canvas. It’s another painting in my Western Still life series which features vintage western figures. The background is a silk scarf with a cowboy and horse. Yee Haw! The figurines are two ceramic cowboys, their horses and cactus on a American Indian motif rug.
This is the oil painting I just finished. Coffee and Strawberries is 24" x 18" on canvas. The coffee pot is a 19th century family heirloom which has been past down to me. I chose this subject because I like painting reflections in silver.
This painting can be purchased at the Salon International exhibit
