Sweet Stripes

Sweet Stripes, 30 x 40, oil on linen

Last Year I painted the Candy Painting, Red and Green. My favorite part of the painting was the cellophane. I liked the way the light bounced off of it and the colors that were reflected from the items around it.

That inspired this painting. I chose the dark background to give a good contrast with the cellophane and the bright colors of the candy.

Wings Like a Dove

Wings Like a Dove, oil on board , 9″ x 12″.
The painting shows light reflecting through a transparent glass dove. It is surrounded by colored marbles. I loved painting the light on the glass and the reflections on the surface.
