OneFish, Two Fish continues

One Fish, Two Fish, 30 x 36 oil on linen, Work in Progress

The day to day changes in this painting are so subtle, especially in the photos that I've decided to jump ahead to Real Time. This is how the painting looks today. The glasses and vase are 98% finished. Today I will work on the background and the fish.

This painting HAS to be finished sometime doesn't it?

One Fish, Two Fish - Work In progress 2

One Fish, Two Fish Work in Progress

I think this is day 6 of this painting. Adding the layers of transparent red is the time consuming part. Here you can see that all the glass has a richer color. The glass on the right and it's reflection are nearing completion. Also, I've added detail to the fish and started shading the background.

One Fish, Two Fish - work in progress

One Fish Two Fish, oil on linen, 30 x 36

I promised to post work in progress photos of this piece. This is a complicated piece so I decided not to post images every day. This image is after the third day of work. The colors are blocked in and I've started adding some details to the fish.

Gumballs and Peppermint - still life

Gumballs and Peppermint, oil on canvas, 24 x 36

This is another in my series of striped paintings. Here is a striped bowl with gumballs and a polka dot bowl with peppermints. I got this plate at a thrift store and I believe it is handmade.

My favorite part of the painting is the stripes reflecting in the bowls
