I See by Your Outfit

I See by Your Outfit, 30 x 20, oil on canvas
The title of this painting comes from a line in the song "Cowboy's Lament": I see by your outfit that you are a cowboy

This Trompe L'Oeil painting has everything you need to be a cowboy (or cowgirl). First, you have your fringed shirt with a sheriff's badge. Add your boots, gloves and a scarf signed by the King of the Cowboys, Roy Rogers. You can't go anywhere without your horse, your six shooter and favorite Dime Novel. Take along your pardner, Howdy Doody, and you're ready to hit the trail. Yee Haw!

Orbit Space Game by K Henderson

Orbit, 20 x 30, oil on linen

Here's my latest Trompe L'oeil painting in my Vintage Board Game series. This game was manufactured by Parker Brothers in 1959.

My Orbit game is in pretty good shape. Fortunately, I have 2 very beat up Monopoly games that I used for inspiration for the tape, dents and dings.

Tek-No-Krazy by K. Henderson

Tek-No-Krazy, 30 x 30, oil on linen

Here's another game that I had to paint once I saw it. The game is small, about 8" x 8" and I thought it deserved to be seen BIG.

I'm not sure of the exact date this game came on the scene but, obviously, it was when we were still in awe of outer space, robots and flying saucers. Some of us still are.
