Licorice Allsorts by K Henderson
Licorice Allsorts, oil on cradled board, 16 x 20
I love licorice! Any kind, any where, any time. Allsorts is my favorite. Not only is it tasty but it's also beautiful. It's truly Eye Candy.
I enjoyed painting the glass lid. The abstract shapes of the reflections and highlights made it a real challenge.

Car Key by K Henderson
Car Key, 18 x 24, oil on cradled board by K Henderson
I think this is my favorite car from my toy car collection. It's a 1948 Chevy. I love the details and that bright blue color.
This is from my Toys in a Box series which features vintage toys 'displayed' in a wooden box.

CocaCola Cowboy by K Henderson
CocaCola Cowboy, 30 x 30, oil on linen
Lets step into the Way Back Machine and go to our childhood days. After school we sit at the kitchen table, listen to the Lone Ranger on the Radio (or watch him on TV). We have a snack of CocaCola and a Hostess Cupcake. Yum!
To assist the Masked Man in his adventures we have our Pony Boy six-shooter, holster with horse head and genuine plastic jewel, Lone Ranger Comic, a Silver horse figurine, and Lincoln logs.
Life is good!

Coca Cola Cowboy Detail #1
Coca Cola Cowboy detail, Coke bottle
It's been a while since I've posted because I've been working on a painting, Coca Cola Cowboy, and it's taken me longer to complete it than I expected. Since it took so long to paint it I thought I should take some time in posting it.
With that title, of course it has to have a Coke Bottle in the painting. I've had this bottle for some time now and finally got to use it in a painting. Wow! Definitely more complicated than I expected but I'll be painting it again.
