Tek-No-Krazy by K. Henderson

Tek-No-Krazy, 30 x 30, oil on linen

Here's another game that I had to paint once I saw it. The game is small, about 8" x 8" and I thought it deserved to be seen BIG.

I'm not sure of the exact date this game came on the scene but, obviously, it was when we were still in awe of outer space, robots and flying saucers. Some of us still are.

The Pink Straw by K Henderson

The Pink Straw, 10 x 10, oil on cradled board

I have several old soda bottles (pop bottles) in my collection but have only used one in one painting. They have been on my list of Things to Paint  for well over 2 years. Why have I waited? They are so much fun to paint.

The green glass really sets off the pink straw. Expect to see more Bottle paintings in the near future.

Butch The Pup by K. Henderson

Butch the Pup, 20 x 24, oil on cradled board

As my Faithful Followers know, I collect Vintage Toys. Included in this collection is about 50 Fisher Price pull toys.

Butch the Pup was designed in 1952. In this painting, Butch stands at the ready on the mantel. Do toy dogs dream of dog biscuits?

Have a Super Valentine's Day!

Super Valentine, 12 x 9, oil on board

What can be more romantic than valentines, candy and hearts? And who is among the most famous romantic couples? The Man of Steel and Lois Lane of course!

This Trompe L'oeil painting has Valentines of Superman and Lois Lane from the 1940's and '50's. I've combined them with a heart shaped sucker with cellophane, a red ribbon, red hearts and a silver heart reflecting the blue sky

Available.
