A Big Delight

I'm fascinated by artists who paint on small canvases. Every once in a while I decide to give it a try.

I love Junk Food and Hostess Cupcakes, "A Big Delight in Every Bite", are something I indulge in on occasion. I love the shiny chocolate frosting with the white squiggles, the creamy center and the airy cake. The different textures in this snack food make it worth memorializing in a painting.

One Eyed Jack

I love vintage toys. I can't get enough of them. These are some toys from my collection. Wooden Blocks, spinning tops, playing cards, chess, and marbles are all toys or games that have been played with by many generations of children.

In addition to the car, I've included a key and vintage blocks. All of them are in a wooden box.

This small Trompe L'Oeil focuses on the Tarot's High Priestess. She is a symbol of wisdom and knowledge. Also included are a Key (key to knowledge) and an Owl's feather (symbol of wisdom)

This is another card Trompe L'Oeil painting. It has the Ace of Spades from the Bee Brand deck of cards with bumble bees.

This painting will soon be on it's way to Lovetts Gallery in Tulsa.

Yes, I know these are Honey Bees and not Bumble Bees but I like the title. And it fits in my my current Flight Themed paintings.

My favorite playing cards are the Jokers because they are so varied and this one with the bee is one of my favorites.
